CBIT co ordinates a network of support groups across the UK as well as providing advice and information via helplines and publications. CBIT develops, manages and delivers research into various aspects of Child ABI, acting as an advocate both with and on behalf of children with ABI and their families for improvements at both local and national level in service provision, policy and legislation. It strives to work with a children’s rights framework that promotes children’s participation, equality of opportunity, values diversity and counters discrimination.
